But a strong echo makes it more difficult to hear what other people around you are saying. An echo chamber is an environment where a person only comes into contact with beliefs and views that reflect their own. Echo chambers are dangerous because they reinforce existing beliefs and don’t let different ideas develop. The result is not only a loss of creativity but also narrow-minded thinking. Echo chambers might also lead to isolation for those who’d like to have their say but don’t feel supported enough to do so.
